Hunan Daily, July 21st (Reporter Li Chuanxin, Correspondent Yang Zhengqiang) It is currently summer vacation, and students are all enjoying themselves. The Health Management Center of Hunan Thoracic Hospital reminds us today that new students of all grades, including kindergarten, primary school, junior high school, high school, university freshmen or transfer students, can use their free time during summer vacation to do a good health examination and tuberculosis screening for new students.

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is mainly transmitted through the respiratory tract, and everyone is susceptible to it. In densely populated schools, if tuberculosis is not found in time, it can cause the spread of tuberculosis in schools, which has a serious impact on the health and learning of teachers and students. Therefore, screening for new tuberculosis is of great significance. In 2020, the National Health Commission issued the Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of tuberculosis in Chinese Schools, which specifies that schools at all levels and all types of schools should carry out tuberculosis related examinations in the entrance examination of freshmen and routine physical examination of teachers and staff.

It is understood that in order to provide more professional and reliable physical examination services for new students, Hunan Provincial Chest Hospital actively cooperated with relevant departments to do a good job in screening new students for pulmonary tuberculosis in strict accordance with the provisions of the "School tuberculosis Prevention and Control Work Norms", the "Chinese School tuberculosis Prevention and Control Guidelines (2020 Edition)", the "Management Measures for Health Examination of Primary and Secondary School Students (2021 Edition)" and other documents, A special group has been established for routine physical examinations and tuberculosis screening of school freshmen and faculty.

Director Luo Jun of the Health Management Center of the hospital stated that in order to facilitate the physical examination of new students, the center provides one-stop convenient services for the entrance health examination and tuberculosis screening of new students. The hospital has formulated the corresponding tuberculosis screening process according to the entrance examination requirements of different schools. When students come to the Health Management Center of Hunan Chest Hospital, please take the initiative to inform the medical staff that tuberculosis screening examination is required for freshmen, and they can enjoy convenience measures such as no need to queue, register, and take medicine. At the same time, in order to facilitate students' physical examinations, the working hours of the Health Management Center of Hunan Chest Hospital have been adjusted to 7:10-18:00, and normal work will be carried out during holidays.

To reduce the risk of overcrowding and cross infection among students coming to the hospital, the Health Management Center of Hunan Chest Hospital can organize a team of medical staff to provide on-site services at the designated school through advance appointments. At the same time, the corresponding tuberculosis screening process has also been developed to open a green channel for medical treatment for students suspected of tuberculosis in the screening, provide convenient and efficient one-stop service for diagnosis and treatment, and escort the health of students and teachers.
